At the Gilze-Rijen airshow the song was played for the first time during Mitch's display. This test was a complete success with Wiwa deciding to release the song - with some remastering - for official usage. At the Beauvechain/Bevekom airshow it was played for the first time as the official Belgian F-16 Solo Display Team's demo song. Check out Wiwa's website for more of his stunning compositions. A sample of the demo song can be listended to here. Bring on the volume!!!! For the entire song, just visit us at the numerous European airshows we attend this season.
About the song: Beautiful to combine these two ancient passions 'music and aircraft'. Music can most certainly enrich images. Wiwa chose for a track which combined the elegance and the pure power of the F-16 demo. It had to be an artistic unity. Unique music combined with a unique air spectacle. The guideline for the demo song was a 12 minute HUD tape from previous demos. This tape was synchronised with the song. With a little cutting and pasting (with respect for the songs chronology) it was made to a elegant combination. This way even Bitchin' Betty could be considered as an artistic talent! Everything you hear from cockpit sounds is what generally takes place during a display sequence. Besides this, self-made recordings of Mitch's start-up sequence and the Kleine Brogel AB tower are used as well. They simulate a fastened start-up and take-off.

During displays of other teams, music is played quite often or a moderator talks the public through the display. This inspired Lodewijk Lenaerts to compose a special song for the Belgian F-16 Solo Display Team. The team gladly accepted the invitation. On June 11th, 2010 'Wiwa' (Lodewijk's artist name) came to Kleine Brogel AB for the recording of different samples - including tower conversations, F-16 engine start-up, etc. Lodewijk then transformed these samples together with a song he wrote into 'Turn & Burn'.
