July 11, 2009 - After the home weekend at Koksijde AB, the team left for a double performance on English soil. Starting off at Yeovilton the weather immediately turned for the worse. A major part of the air day had to be cancelled because of it. Fortunately Mitch was able to perform and amazed the crowd with a bad weather routine.
After performing at Koksijde AB for the Belgian home crowd it was time to leave for Yeovilton Air Day. On Friday morning (July 10) the team - consisting of Sandro, Wim, Peter and X-tof - left Melsbroek AB with an Embraer to arrive at Yeovilton little over an hour later.Half an hour after the team's arrival, the two F-16s with Mitch and Cash on board touched down at Yeovilton as well.

We received a very warm welcome from Hugh of AHA events. In the afternoon Mitch was able to get his rehearsal done under a blue sky. Things were to turn for the worse on that matter!

When we woke up on Saturday morning, we immediately saw things had turned to the worse outside. Low clouds and rain made up the outdoor setting. That this was to influence the air day was sunny clear!
A part of the Yeovilton air day was cancelled but Mitch was able to give the large crowd - which attended the event despite the bad weather - with a stunning bad weather routine.

On Sunday we had a day off and took the opportunity to visit Yeovilton town. In the evening we were invited by Hugh and Audrey of AHA events to dine together with the team of the Jordanian Falcons attending as well. It was an unforgettable fun evening.
The F-16 demo team would like to thank Audrey and Hugh for all they done to make this show happen.
See you next year...
