September 10, 2009 -After Hradec Kralové in the Czech Republic, the team started on a little British tour. First to come was Jersey, together with Guernsey. Leuchars was to follow a couple of days later. British airshows are always something special. Lot of (beautiful) folks around. Lots of animation. Some nerves about the weather and then you have it. All ingredients for a typical British airshow.
On September 9th, 2009 we left Kleine Brogel AB at 4 am to Landivisiau AB, France in our magnificent demo bus. The team consisted of David, James, Patrick and Eddy. After a long ride we arrived at the French naval base at 15 pm. We checked in for a room, got info and went to Brest to have something to eat.
The next day we waited for Mitch. He arrived at noon so we did our through flight and thereafter he performed his rehearsal flight. When he was back we finished very quickly because we had to catch a plane in Morlaix - which was a 30 min drive.
At Morlaix there was a pilot waiting (our god friend Martin) who brought us to Jersey. Thanks a lot for the transport Martin!!
When we arrived we drove to our hotel which was very nice. Thanks a lot for the accommodation. The next day Mitch went back to France with 2 crew chiefs and the weapon-chief to start his plane over there. David stayed behind with pilot Ken to arrange the rest at Jersey. In the morning Mitch did his show at Guernsey and in the afternoon at Jersey. After that the demo crew flew back and there was a nice social call at the end off the day.
Want to thank Martin and also the entire Jersey crew for the perfect organisation. We enjoyed it a lot and hope to see you next year.
