Duxford airshow report

Duxford airshow October 11, 2009 - The very last airshow of the 2009 season. Duxford is always a pleasant show to attend. This year is no exception to that. For being October, the weather was quite nice. Which can be a whole different story in some years.

The team went to visit the Duxford museam, which has some nice exhibits as a SR-71 'Blackbird', etc. The team also enjoyed the transports from RAF Mildenhall, where all display aircraft are based.

The team arrived at RAF Mildenhall on Friday the 11th. David, Eddy, James and Andy were present for this late season appointment. Mitch and the spare landed just before midday with Mitch flying his reheasal in the afternoon.

On Saturday we visited the museum in Duxford and got a tour in the Spitfire section. This was a very nice addition to a standard airshow. A number of nice goodies were present in the museaum, like an SR-71 'Blackbird'. The B-17 'Stratofortress' also received much attention from the team members. What a beauty!

We want to thank Jeanne and Jane for all the arrangements and also the RAF base for their support. It sure was a great show for ending the 2009 demo season.
