| Orleans airshow report |
|
Since Mitch was also displaying at Gilze-Rijen the very same day, a second team was dispatched to Orléans to take Mitch in and prepare for another demo.
The team for the Orléans airshow also left on Thursday, just like the Gilze-Rijen team. Mitch only arrived on the day of the airshow, June 19th, just around noon. He first flew his demo at Gilze-Rijen AB before flying to Orléans. Mitch was in a very good mood and brought a friend along. The well-known 'Mace' of 349 sqn.
During Mitch's display, the French made him a nice 'present'. At large airshows the French Air Force always used radar to track the displaying aircraft. This tool comes in very handy for bedriefing. On here you can see how Mitch has flown his display. Both in direction as in altitude (below).
The team wants to thank the Orléans team for the general support, the excellent cross servicing and the usage of the PR-tent. Mitch had a very good time and hopes to come back some day for the great party on Sunday evening.
