Waddington airshow report

Waddington airshow July 4, 2010 - Waddington here we come! Again from mainland Europe to the United Kingdom. Waddington traditionally is one of the bigger airshows in Europe. No exception this year. Weather turned out to be good for English standards. Much better then in the homeland anyway.

The Embraer took the team to Waddington in less then an hour. They had to wait for Mitch until the next day, since he had to perform at Beauvechain AB the same day.

The team already left on Friday morning with the Embraer. A lot of booth holders were already getting up their selling points for the entire weekend. Finding a suitable spot to place our PR-tent wasn't an easy task. Thanks to Charles for helping us in finding that one and only spot.

Mitch arrived on Saturday afternoon. He already had a nice color on his face since he performed at Beauvechain AB less then an hour before in less then perfect conditions - during a thunderstorm. But thanks to the guys of the cross servicing he and the aircraft were pepped up in no time.

Mitch performed great and the crowd loved it. Mitch also won the trophy of noisiest demo. Who can argue with that! The team had a blast on the airshow. We have to admit. From time-to-time we do encounter strange types at airshows from who we wonder what the heck they are doing there. And we do not necessarily mean the 'space types'.....

Anyway, the show was great and we had a great time. Hopefully we may return next year. We sure hope so....
