July 10, 2010 - For once this season we could stay on the same side of the English Channel two weekends on a row. After a splendid Waddington performance, Yeovilton was the team's next stop in the 2010 display tour. Yeovilton is an air station of the Royal Navy. So a lot of their assets where present at the show. Always nice to see a harrier perform.
Special display on this show was the Vulcan bomber. Always a magnificent sight to see this relict of the Cold War come in for landing once more.
The team - with Pipo, Neskens, Wim and Abby - were on their way to RNAS Yeovilton's 70th anniversary. Mitch and Stijn arrived in the afternoon on July 9th and after the maintenance activities Mitch did a wonderful rehearsal in fabulous weather conditions.

On Saturday afternoon, Mitch got airborne as very first to kick-off the show. Unfortunately there was a thick cloud layer present which hampered the display somewhat. Nevertheless he managed to impress a lot of people with many of them visiting our PR booth. Many more teams and solo displays followed: Red Arrows, Patrouille Aguila, Royal Jordanian Falcons, Harrier GR.9, RNlAF F-16, heli demonstrations, the Breitling wingwalkers, a multitude of warbirds and finally the astonishing Avro Vulcan (XH558).

The show was completed with a finishing barbecue, beer and live music.

Sunday was a cultural resting day with the World Cup final between Spain and the Netherlands. We enjoyed the game together with our colleagues of the Royal Netherlands Air Force F-16 Solo Display Team and the Spanish colleagues of the Patrouille Aguila. Final result: tears of joy and tears of sorrow. Only one can win off course.
The team wants to thank the organisation for the very warm welcome and hoping to see you all again next season.
