Barcelona airshow report

Barcelona airshow

October 2, 2010 - The place to be in October was Barcelona. To mark the end of the 2010 demo season, the team wanted to go somewhere exotic. So España here we come. This two-day events attracts more then half a million people to the beaches of Barcelona. Again our Dutch colleagues joined us and as in most cases, the PR booths were placed next to each other. Pleasure guaranteed.

On October 1st we arrived at the 'Festa Al Cel 2010' in Barcelona. Most probably the nicest place to end the 2010 demo season. Sun-sea-beach-palm trees and 500,000 visitors! Yes, you read that right.

What a place!!!

We were operating from Barcelona International Airport, in between all the Boeings and Airbusses. It didn't make things easier, but the team managed once again to overcome all troubles. Friday started out a little difficult with a lot of communication and timing issues. Mitch started the Saturday edition of the show at around 14.00 local under a shining sun. This lead to a shortened siesta on the beach with everyone pleased with the performance, but less with the sound. In the PR booth at 'Moll de la Marina' the team received a lot of felicitations for Mitch' flying skills. Especially the numerous Belgian tourists who attended the event.

Who wouldn't want to do this

On Sunday the Dutch team opened the show. A meet and greet was also organised with an immense crowd coming to the PR booth. In the evening a 'tapas' moment was created, ending the magnificent weekend.

Tapas, hmmmmmmm
