June 5, 2011 - Izmir proved to be one of the most spectacular airshows of the 2011 season. Since it was the 100th anniversary of the Turkish Air Force, the Turks gave everything they had. For the very first time in Turkish history the F-16 flew as a solo display. Also the latest arrival of a brand-new block 52 was placed in the static display. A enormous crowd on both days and absolutely great weather was part of the entire package. Mitch flew an outstanding demo in this environment and the team's boot got a lot of attention from the crowd as well.
