The Show

The 2009 demo routine is different then the previous years simply because the team changed composition between the the current and last season. A new routine was designed and flown by Mitch, helped by his collegue Mickey Artiges with his vast experience in the field.

Two routines are flown. One for the nice summer days and a somewhat reduced version for the typical European summer days.

Good weather routine:

  1. Take-off with a 60° climb. A high turn on top.
  2. Two high G barrel rolls followed by a level turn to datum.
  3. A half clover.
  4. A split-S followed by two aileron rolls.
  5. A split-S.
  6. Inverted flight with a level turn to datum.
  7. A half clover passing to inverted flight.
  8. A high speed pass with a vertical climb.
  9. A descending vertical downward spiral.
  10. A barrel roll away from the public.
  11. A slow speed pass to a 45° high turn away.
  12. Four point roll with level turn to datum.
  13. An upwind turn to a half Cuban eight.
  14. Straight flight to a split-S.
  15. Knife edge pass.
  16. A half Cuban eight to the public.
  17. Descending to a high speed pass.
  18. Landing.

Bad weather routine:

  1. Take-off with a 60° climb. A high turn.
  2. Two high G barrel rolls.
  3. Back to datum and 45° out.
  4. Three aileron rolls and 45° out.
  5. Inverted flight with 45° out.
  6. Maximum speed pass.
  7. A horizontal eight level to 45° out.
  8. A slow speed pass with 25° AOA continuing with a 45° out climb.
  9. Four point roll.
  10. A Back Derry turn to datum with 45° out.
  11. Knife edge pass.
  12. Turning back with a barrel roll and gear down.
  13. A high speed pass.
  14. A 45° out with two aileron rolls to final turn.
  15. Landing.
